So have you ever noticed the substantial difference in dealing with a much smaller company; or a company that is locally-owned and operated versus a larger company? The differences can often be pretty big to say the least! And based on my experiences, the smaller companies can be significantly more personable, warm and ready to take care of your problem.
A smaller business's folks can be much easier to get in touch with, faster to act when you need them too and way more likely to stay in touch with you after receiving your money. Now on the converse, larger companies out there are often very much only worried with acquiring the sale; and once the larger companies get the sale, they're on their way!
Air conditioner service companies out there aren't any different. A good friend I know that has a small air conditioner service company in Columbus, Georgia has a reputation of being very dependable, cost-effective, honest and much easier to get in touch with; even after the transaction is complete. His rates are also very, very affordable and probably some of the lowest rates in the air conditioner repair and service business. And because of these things, he has grown a great company that is based on good relationships. Folks trust him and his business and companies just like his company are known around the city for being very dependable and much more dependable than the bigger companies.
Many of the larger companies often charge for just about any and everything; the service call, the quote, you name it. The smaller businesses many times will go that extra distance to win you over and gain a new customer, not only with excellent service, but also with free service calls, seasonal specials, and more.
Larger air conditioner service businesses a lot of times are much more focused on the bigger clients and can often afford to let the smaller accounts, or homeowners who are in need of service, or repair just slip by. They do not seem to be as focused on the smaller relationships as the little businesses are.
If you're thinking about air conditioning service or installation, and I recommend that you have your AC unit checked at least one time every year, then take a look at a few of the more smaller companies within your area. Show support for small and local business, you will probably save a bit of cash, headaches and build a wonderful relationship with a business that actually cares to help you.
I always recommend checking out testimonials for any local company. Check the company's BBB rating. And also take a look and see if there are any reviews in Google, Yelp, Angie's List, Yahoo, etc. Do your research and in the end you will probably be way more satisfied with getting your AC service, repairs and installation via a company that is smaller. Good luck!
